Cluster Health Horizon Europe Brokerage Event 2027 (September 2026)
The online Cluster Health Horizon Europe Brokerage Event will take place on 24–25 November 2026, supporting researchers, innovators and other stakeholders in building international consortia for the 2027 Cluster 1 Health calls. The programme will include bilateral matchmaking meetings and a pitching session for project ideas, expertise and partnership needs. Registration will open in early October 2026.

Horizon Europe Info Day – Cluster 1 Health 2027 (September 2026)
The Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Health Info Day will take place online on 26 November 2026. The event will provide potential applicants with information on the 2027 topics of the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2026–2027 and the upcoming funding opportunities under Cluster 1 – Health.

Bridges Health – Horizon Europe Training & Matchmaking Programme (September 2026)
Bridges Health will take place on 25–26 November 2026 in Thessaloniki, bringing together experienced coordinators and partners preparing proposals for selected Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Health and Cancer Mission topics. The programme combines expert-led masterclasses, practical workshops and matchmaking to support consortium building and proposal development. Applications are open until 15 September 2026. A live information session will be held on 2 September.

IHI Call 13: New Funding Opportunities for Health Research and Innovation (September 2026)
IHI Call 13 is open for proposals addressing three areas: accelerating healthcare innovation through networks, using AI to reduce animal use in drug safety studies, and advancing research on age-related immune-mediated diseases. The two-stage call has a total budget of approximately EUR 84.8 million. The deadline for submitting short proposals is 8 October 2026.

Registration is open for the IHI Forum 2026, taking place on 20–21 October in Brussels and online. The event will explore how public-private partnerships translate research into long-term impact on healthcare, research, industrial competitiveness and EU policies, while creating opportunities for networking and collaboration across the IHI community.

Participants will have opportunities to pitch project ideas, identify potential partners and build international consortia through dedicated matchmaking activities. European Commission updates EIC Fund Investment Guidelines (August 2026)

The updated set of investment guidelines provides applicants and companies, as well as potential co-investors, with detailed information on the strategy and conditions under which the EIC Fund makes investment and divestment decisions, for those companies selected under the EIC Accelerator (blended finance and equity only) and EIC STEP calls.

This workshop on 8 October 2026 at 9:00-16:00 CET will bring together policy relevant results and learnings from a cluster of Horizon Europe projects piloting innovative approaches for knowledge valorisation, to bring research results to market, society and policy. Registration for online participation is open.

IHI Forum 2026: Translating research into long-term impact (July 2026)

First Research and Innovation Careers Observatory survey launched (July 2026)

The first survey of the Research and Innovation Careers Observatory (ReICO) is now live will be open until 25 September, but early participation is encouraged. The survey is intended for individual research and development personnel. Researchers are a key target group of respondents, but the survey is also open to others supporting R&D – for example, technicians, librarians, research managers, administrators, and other support staff.
