The ERA Opportunities Guidebook for the 2027 calls has been published! (June 2026)

The guidebook presents ERA-related funding opportunities across Horizon Europe Pillar II and the Missions. The 2027 edition identifies over 100 relevant calls. For each opportunity, the document provides a topic summary, a direct link to the call, and a reference to the relevant ERA aspect.

Widening indicator: Leveraging the potential for inclusive European research and innovation (May 2026)

This study provides a framework and associated indicator options for establishing a systemic 'Widening 2.0' methodology which could prove instrumental in discussing post-Horizon Europe 'widening' support measures. It is based on assessment of research and innovation indicators of targeted 'widening' countries, looking at the economic and research impact that Horizon Europe may have had between 2018 and 2025.

€22 million are now available under three new Horizon Europe Widening participation and spreading excellence funding opportunities.

70 early-stage deep tech companies secured funding through Horizon Europe EIC Pre-accelerator Widening (Apr. 2026)

In total, the selected companies will receive around €32.5 million in EU funding, with up to €500,000 awarded per company. They represent 22 countries, with Portugal, Estonia and Turkey recording the highest number of successful proposals. Notably, 24% of the selected projects are coordinated by women.
